Update (06-12th February 2010) On 6th February, a big group of us awoke at Backpackers in Kampala to travel to Jinja. Jinja, for those that don't know, is the source of the River Nile. Ovens - All we have to cook with is one cheap, s***ty, single ringed gas stove, and in Uganda even that is a luxury, with most people using charcoal stoves. 10. Things people take for granted back home Toilets - I just think of a normal toilet with a toilet seat that you can sit on and smile. Over here, where we are now and where we'll be staying for the next 7 months we have to go outside to the outhouse where there's a longdrop (i.e. a hole in the ground).
