This is the first blog entry and welcome to our story!

We started to discuss a fair few months ago travelling the USA for 6 months, as I have had my reservations about this due to the position I am in at work and the amount of time and hard work it has taken me to reach my position I found it very difficult to make the "leap" and leave and travel! After many discussions between me and Sarah I was kind of convinced to take that chance because let's face it you only live once!

After searching the internet my admiration for the trip started to grow and found that the was more possibilities out there for us so we decided to look at round the world tickets. I found some places around the world I want to go, Sarah was not convinced on a few options but at least we had a starting point!

Some friends recommended a company called Trailfinders in Kensington High Street so we went there one weekend and sat down with Colin and went through where we wanted to go. We was there for 2 hours discussing the best tickets and what locations would be available, as I had already researched North America I knew where I wanted to go there. We then decided on visiting Canada, Rio De Janerio, Peru, New Zealand, Sydney and South Africa.

We are quite lucky as me and Sarah have connections in Canada and New Zealand and Sarah has connections in South Africa.

So the one world explorer ticket was our choice for us so we now looked at duration in these places so again after extensive research we come up with timings and dates.

We then revisiting Trailfinders and went through what's flights where needed, where and when. We was there for nearly 3 hours and 16 flights later we confirmed it all!! We also booked an excursion called Peru on a shoestring with G Adventures which is 2 week tripo around Peru along with a 4 day hike to Machu Picchu!!

So I got my new credit card come through the post and called Colin at Trailfinders and gave him all the payment details and all the flights and our 2 week trip to Peru is all now booked!

So the 5th August 2013 until the 8th March 2014 are the dates and now it is a waiting game!
