Again sorry its taken a while for me to update this but i have been a bit busy since i was in Japan. I hope your all well though.
So after leaving Japan I flew to Singapore. Jump in a cab and the drive takes me to my hostel. In first impressions it was a dive and I was right...it was!! The dorms where scummy and there I was sharing with ten lads who needed a wash. It didnt bother me to much and just got on with it. I woke up in the morning and realised I had made a school boy error. On booking my hostel before i left I England the address was something like 42 denver road, Little India, Singapore. I just presumed it was a nice area of Singapore with a nice name.....if i'm honest....I might has well had been in Deli !! They didnt just call it little India for no reason. It was safe and that was the main thing but you couldn't move with out smelling the curry houses that lined all the streets. It added to the experience too so i again got on with it. I met a few lads and they hadn't heard of Raffles Hotel so i took them there and they loved it. It was a great bar steaped in History and we knocked back some beers and Singapore slings. They were there for the Grand Prix which was the next day so we agreed to meet and all go the following day.
Race Day and I took a walk all the way down to the track and the city was buzzing !! I met up with the lads and we went in and had a couple of beers. One was a bit of a Grand Prix geek and was ordering us all about and he was getting on my nerves. I didnt go there for that and I wanted to do what I wanted to do. Luckily we bumped into A few people that were heading to the centre park in the middle to watch it on the screen. This was a bit more of me and we sat with the race going on around us drinking beer and having a laugh. The noise was increadible and visually spectacular with the singapore track all lit and the scyscrappers behind it as well. Hamilton won which was good for a Brit to win and then The Back Street Boys came on after. Now i'm no fan but i was quite happy to watch it as the other people were fans !!
I then booked a bus to take me to Kualar Lumpar the next day. I expected to be sharing the bus with a load of cargo and animals like I had seen on films but was plesently supprised when a shiny double decker bus with fully reclining seats, televions, playsations and music turned up. All this for 12 quid. Now this is the way to travel!! On my arrival to K.L I again found myself staying in little India part of the city but it was close to the city centre so walking and getting the Sky Train was no problem. I didnt get to go up the Petronis Towers as I was told you had to be there for 7- 7.30 and was i only aloud up for 10 minutes and the view wasnt that good either. There isn't a great deal to do in K.L so i went out for a fews beers on my own and a bit of food and took it easy for 2 days shopping and walking around. So i booked my flight off the net and flew to Phuket after my stay in K.L
Hope your all well and i will update phots when i can
