Hello and Goodbye all in the same blog, well kiddy winkles today is a very very sad day. About 3 months ago we sat down and planned this trip, it took abit of time but we decided that in the end we'd book flights and sort the rest out when we got here, its now the 16th of February yes i no 7 and a bit weeks since we left and i'm afraid its time to come home. I am how ever pleased to report that in the time here we have got on great even living in each others pockets for so long. Of course we had some quiet moments where maybe we didnt agree on something or one of us had a s*** night sleep but being with me the quiet moments dont last to long, i just have to make noise....ask my mum. But to look back now and think about New Year in Sydney and the 4500kms we drove round New Zealand and the 2 weeks doing alsorts of things in Brissy and going to the famous GoldCoast and Surfers Paradise..... well what can i say, just bloody awesome. We've done things in the last 7 weeks that most people would never do in life time or others cant do and so were gratefull that our parents gave us the traveling genes that we have. Anyway, i havent spoken to you guys and dolls for a while so gonna give a pretty quick update on whats been going on. Well i left you last in Seaworld with our mate Coxsy, the rest of the day was spent watching some spectaculor shows, one with dolphins, there's only one word you can use for the show and thats 'Amazing', it completely blew me away and gave me goose pimples. I'm sure after leaving the show at least 80% of the crowd were ready to ditch in their jobs and work with dolphins cos i no we oth were. So Seaworld over and done our next day out was to Wet 'n' Wild, a massive porn........ha only kidding, its a water park. Lots of hot chicks running round in bikinis, or Togs as they call em here, safe to say we enjoyed the day, most of the day we spent on the flume rides in 2 seater rubber ring things trying our hardest to tip them over but its quite hard when you got a lead weight on the back although it seemed to help get the speed up. Later in the week we done some shopping which here is pretty good, infact i bought more clothes here than i have in 3 yrs, strangly i bought a lot of shorts!! We shopped in the city of Brisbane where there are a lot of hot chicks, who am i kidding theres hot chicks everywhere, just a shame they only managed to pick rough ones for the 'Shielas Wheels' adverts. Brisbane is a nice city, its big but wasnt the madness of sydney. Goldcoast shopping was good to, its like having 3or4 huge surf shacks in one shopping place. Surfers Paradise was cool, lots of cool bars and shops, just what you expect where it has the name like that i guess. On the sunday John took us out riding on enduro bikes. We drove to his 2nd house near the sunshinecoast in an area called Pine Forrest which is where we rode. 4 of us went out, Jason on a KTM450exc me and John were on WRF450's and Knotty had the slightly smaller Yamaha TTr250. We rode most of the day through the forrest, through flooded land up hills, i dunno, just alsorts. It was so nice to get me leg over....a bike again and to just ride in with the wildlife, we saw wild horses, kangaroos and spiders, bad arse looking spiders. The weather here hasnt been so great so there were a few things we didnt do or go to see which was a shame but the most important thing for me was to make sure we went to Australia Zoo, which Anne Titman took us and Layla. Steve Irwin was a legend in wildlife worlds, and to go to the zoo that he had built over the last 20 years was great. Its gives a sad feeling when you walk round there, everywhere you look theres pictures of him either on his own or with his family. The Zoo couldnt have been any better, its exactly what you could imagine of him when you watched his tv programs. Anne said when he was alive he was at the zoo meeting people and doing shows with the crocs and that his death was a huge shock to many aussie's. Bloody sad. Anywho it didnt leave us a lot left to do in the time before we had to come home which is today. So we had a meal with deb and the kids, one of her fit mates and jason and that was it. Oh the sprint car, i no i said this was gonna be short but i cant leave this out. Sprint cars are a type or buggy that race round a speedway track but have huge 850bhp chevvy engines in and they weigh only 600kgs so the power to weight is unreal. In Brisbane they have a two seater sprint car which Kevins other mate 'big' Jason arrange for us to be taken out in. It was freaking awesome, wierd feeling but bloody quick on take off. Right im gonna bring this to an end. I dunno who reads this blog but i'd like to thank Nathan Murray and family for making us welcome, and the same to Kevin and Deborah Titman cos without them our last two weeks might not have been two weeks, Kevin was a great laugh and a top drinker and it was a shame he had to leave after only a few days, Deborah was lovely a top drinking wife and a great cook and put on some great feeds, between them John, Anne and the 2 Jason's we couldnt have felt more welcome and at home so a massive Thanks to you guys. Also thanks to Layla she's so sweet she kept us on our toes and had us in stiches alot with her questions, and of course Henry 6months old and in 2 weeks i never heard him cry nor did he wake me during the night, now he is a dude. Mostly tho i'd personally like to thank you for reading this blog, i've enjoyed writing it and enjoyed more the fact that its made you laugh. Knotty and Me have had some great laughs on this trip and i wanted to make you see it thro our eyes. But in the famous words of super Frak Sinatra 'And now, the end is near and so we face, the final curtain'! Our trip has ended but please leave us a message so we no that the many hours spent writing the blog have been worth it (includes my uncle Ian- i no your reading it). Were just off to the airport.
See you all soon
Benny and Knotty over and out SEE YA xx
