In case you've been wondering where the blog updates have been over the past three months, we've been attempting to get back to the 'real world' in our new home. So instead of trying to review in detail what on earth we've been up to since we last checked in, we'll take you, in no particular order, through a whistlestop tour of the best bit…
Becky Smith Wowsers - what a fantastic picture!
re: photo from 09 March 2012Sam Yummy yummy! The cocktails look tasty too ;) xxxx
re: photo from 05 June 2012Adam I like this. I can just imagine you two describing the drink you've got to Ben and him just saying "....interesting....I'll have a beer though please"
re: photo from 05 June 2012Lisa Ball Hi there you two ! Just wondering how things are going in Vancouver - it is a place I have long wanted to see. Will you be staying there for a while or are you planning to return to old Blighty at some point soon ? Hope all is well. xxx
re: Happy St. George's Day!vera I am GREEN with envy. Ever since I was about 15 and read Henry Miller's letters to Durrell I have wanted to see Big Sur and go up Highway One. I really MUST find a way to do it before I go to the next dimension! I am looking forward so much to how you find Vancouver. Yes, do stay awhile and I shall pop over to visit 'cos I love the place. Lots of love to you and I am SO happy for you both. G

re: Elephant seal cubs laze in the Californian sunshinePhilip Roderick With you all the way, beautiful beings (except for the wait at the Amtrak!). Loved your description of the frozen camp site versus the warmed up one. And the wild beauty of the Californian shoreline - took me back and I almost put my swimming costume on! It was great to Skype with you both in San Mateo. Travel well to Canada and thoroughly enjoy. Much love, Phil/Dad
re: ..."Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard"...Lakson Seriously do look out for grizzlies though - fact of the day - no grizzly has EVER attacked a group of more than 4 people walking together. xx
re: ..."Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard"...Lakson Guys I am LOVING your blogs - really reminding me of my travels! Good times! That elephant seal beach sounds AMAZING - I bet you were adoring that action. Elated to hear there are some proud Brits flying the flag. You will love Canada guys - it's literally the best. Make sure if you do spend some decent time in Vancouver you save up some bunce to go to the north of the island and go on a bear safari. Plus if you do end up sticking around promise me you'll take the cheap boat up to Alaska. You WON'T regret it!!!! Peace and love you legends. xxx
re: ..."Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard"...Lakson Literally brilliant blog guys - loving the banter! Glad you managed to experience some 'group travel' too!!! I've got to go on the Inca Trail - it sounds beyond immense. Peace and love. xx
re: ...And back to the sublime... Please.Jill Hi Hannah and Ben, fabulous blog, fabulous pictures – which we’re still working our way through. I think my fave is the one of Hannah half way up a mountain, sitting at the mouth of her tent shaving her legs! Standards must be kept! Seriously though, I feel a little in awe of what you have achieved so far and hope your continuing journey north continues to be stretching and rewarding. I echo fervently Wendi's comment above about staying safe. Lots of love to both, Mum & Dad/ Jill & Phil xx
re: ...And back to the sublime... Please.Megan Well done guys for achieving all that! It can't have been easy. Hope all continues to go well. Love M xx
