hello

we are now in melbourne and it is soo hot, we are constantly sticky which is discusting. had a bad flight from christchurch, i felt like someone was putting pins through my ear drum and then ben saw i was in pain which made him go all sweaty and very nearly threw up, the guy next to us didnt look to happy. spent 3 nights in st kilda which is just outside the main city centre. it was very pretty but our hostel was the worst we had stayed in so far, it was really dirty and everything you touched you stuck to, our food got knicked and you couldnt relax anywhere as it was full of people wanting to get drunk. spent our first day walking round the town catching the trams and sorting out our train ticket and booking our first train to sydney which will take 11 hours, overnight so should be uncomfortable. the next day it was gay pride here just outside our hostel they were parading so we sat in the pub having a few drinks then went and watch them prance about. seem to go to the extreme out here and would be in competition with those in brighton. today we left that horrible hostel and came to a nice yha one that we couldnt get in to before, didnt really do a lot today just catching up on some writing and a bit of sleep as our roomate before came in at 4:30 every morning and snored a lot. it is still sticky now and we just had dinner and are now watching top gear. tomorrow we are off to do the neighbours tour which ben is looking forward to. so a nice and early start in the heat. should be fun.

today we did neighbours and got to meet ned he is sooooo nice and tall, very handsome but dnt tell ben! surprisingly although he wont admit it ben enjoyed himself lots. after the tour we went to the famous victoria market and bought lots of meet as it was really cheap and going to have a bbq tonight with it all. hung out at the hostel for the afternoon as it was too hot to do anything else.

our last day in melbourne today, got up and checked out then caught the tram to town and went shoppign, bought a nice dress so thankyou val and calum for the birthday money i have finally spent it, then we got another journal as have already filled one book and ben decided he wanted to start one even though we are halfway through now so he has a lot of catching up to do. went back to the hostel to get ur bags then made our way to the train station and got mobbed by lots of aussie football fans as they all wanted to go to the railway station to get to the football game our big bags came in handy as we just wacked them with it as we went by. then we got some dinner and got on our train which left at 8pm and would arrive in sydney at 7am so it was to be a nice nights sleep on the train.
