Hello everyone!
Hope you're all OK, thought I may have to put some pen to paper (so to speak) or else I will forget to actually write to you all! Ben may write something at some point, but for all those who know him, he's a man of little prose!
Pictures can be found on facebook as STA website is playing up!

The last few days have been quite eventful, spent the first afternoon crashsed out after the horrendous flight that was the Airbus A380. The largest plane in the world, sure does get knocked about a bit in the air especially in rainy season!
Anyway15 hours later, and a few years knocked off our lives, we arrived safe and sound. Staying in a nice hostel type-place really close to all of the sights of Ho Chi Minh or Siagon as the oldies will know it.
Now Joey, I have taken on board your motto of doing one thing a day that scares me, and doubled it! The first day I flew here, and crossed the road. The second day I crossed the road, and today I got in a Viet Cong hole and crossed the road!!!! Trust me , I shall try and capture video footage of this crossing the road lark, it really is mental! 10 million people live here in HCM and they all own mopeds, which they are happy to drive an inch from your toes!
Yesterday (3rd June) we went to reunification palace, a bit of a strange attraction as appears to be just a government building with some rooms kept the same as the end of the vietnamese war in 1970's. Went on to an amazing museum aptly named the museum of war remnants. It was truly enlightening if not a little properganda-ish, but I figure after being in such a horrendous war with most of the world for 30 years and winning you get the right to tell everyone about how hard it was. Bits of the place as you can imagine were truly disgusting, and makes you wonder why the US et all arent still hanging their heads in shame, but enough politics from me.
Today ( 4th June) wa s the best bit so far, went to the Chu Chi tunnels, a 120km series of underground tunnels, over three layers, 3m, 6m and 10 meters deep. They have widened the tunnels for us fat westerners, but ben still had to creep on hands and knees as he was way too tall! As you can see from the pictures, the jungle wasn't as dence as you'd expect, but 35 years ago it was bombed with agent orange and is just startling to look like a jungle again!
Well we are getting the sleeper bus to Nha trang tomorrow, beaches galore!
Hope you are all doing well
Lots of love, Esther and Ben
