Den fedeste tur ud i verden/The greatest trip ever
(For English, look further down)
Hej Alle.
Kort update omkring Zanzibar.
Mange varme knus herfra Hi Everyone.
Here's a quick update on Zanzibar.
After a couple of weeks of great adventure and hard physical endurance, we definitely needed to relax. As soon as we arrive in Zanzibar and saw the palm trees, det beautiful ocean and its different colors as well as feeling the lovely baking sun, we knew that we had reached paradise.
The week here was spent by the beach/pool enjoying the sun, relaxing, drinking cocktails and eating tons of seafood. Both the hotel and the small restaurants along the beach were amazing. We were mesmerized by the view over the ocean, the sound of the waves and most of all the relaxed ambience that surrounded us.
The only culturel thing we did was going to the main town, called Stonetown. Of course to get a feel of the local way, we took the local bus, called "the dallah-dallah", which was quite an experience. A bus ment for about 15 people, had around 45. People were litterally hanging on the sides of the bus. Anyways, when reaching the town, we saw among many attractions, the childhood home of lead singer of Queen, Freddie Mercury. Aside from that the town had a cosy feel to it, small cobblestone streeets with tiny shops selling either fruits, art og clothes.
So this was a small peak of Zanzibar. You should definitely visit.
Lots of warm hugs from us to you :)
