So, as we mentioned in the Sydney blog it is hard to believe that our three months has come to an end, the time seems to have flown by, even quicker than our time in South East Asia.
Australia is a huge country and alot bigger than both of us even thought possible, with some stunning places to go and see. Places like Fraser Island and the Whitsunday's were absolutely breathtaking to see first hand, along with new experience's such as WWOOFing.
Seeing friends and travelling with them made it that bit more special as well.
Australia and especially the East Coast is a great place to go and visit, not as culturally interesting as our time in South East Asia, but fun none the less. Obviously Australia has its own Aborigional cultutre but one thing we noticed was that this almost felt like Australia's 'dirty little secret' (the way the Aborigionals were treated) that they try to sweep under the carpet, not all places obviously, but just something we picked up on.
In honesty, we felt that our three months in Australia on a backpackers budget was perhaps a little bit too long, in a country which really is that expensive. This is not to say we did not enjoy our time there though, as we genuinely did, it was great. Now though we leave behind, Wallabies, 'Sweet Sweet Potato's', Snakes, Kangaroo's, Hippies, Surfers and Whales and make our way to the home of the All Blacks.
