Today started at 6am, breakfast at 6:30 and on the bus by 7 for another long drive day. Our first stop was Dachau concentration camp where we learnt about the holocaust and Nazism. It was quite eerie and after watching a 20 minute movie you could walk through and spot what happened in what place at the camp. Started this morning at 6:30 before making our way to breakfast and jumping on the coach to Austria. We stopped for lunch near the border and the country side got better and better. The Austrian alps are beautiful, countryside is green and it is spotted with waterfalls, churches and small hillside towns which made staying awake for the trip so much better. Had the best sleep in since this trip began today with breakfast starting at 9am and the coach leaving at 9:45am. It was definitely needed after last night. The coach took us in to the train station and we got a train into Venice. This train was pretty fun because it travels over the city instead of through it and is designed more like a ski lift in the way the chairs face and the amount of room you have. After a small amount of sleep from last night we finally got up at 6:00 this morning for a quick breakfast before heading to the Vatican for a guided tour. The Vatican is the worlds smallest country. We walked across it in about 30-40 minutes. Had a bit of a sleep in this morning before getting up to have breakfast at about 8am. We caught the coach into the entrance to the Vatican before taking a taxi to the Coloseum for a guided tour with some of our group.
