This post is back dated but it just records some thoughts after my long trip a 24 hour flight with a 6 hour transfer break in Beijing. The transfer itself was fairly interesting the water (evian) at the airport cost more than my food. See pictures in the week 1 album.

Anyway it was lovely to finally reach London and to send some time resting in this lovely cute loft in a 4 bedroom terrace. The area it was situated in was Islington, 3 stations from the central station (Kings Cross). The area itself is undergoing change, conceptualise this in Sydney terms, perhaps Marrickville?

Anyway it was convenient to get to shops, and my airbnb host Leony, walked me around the main shopping sea of her area,she also recommended a shop called "Lidl" for cheap groceries.
This walk was conducted at 8:30 pm at night and the sun was still up! Amazing!
