Hello everyone,

Firstly, thanks to everyone who left me birthday messages (even if some of them went to someone else!!!) Oh god 23 I am getting old- although am still getting asked for id as I apparently only look 19!!!

I will warn you that this is likely to be another lengthy entry so I suggest you get comfortable, I will try to be brief but for as many of you know I am a girl of many words! (No Dad I haven't shut up yet!)

Ok, well I went on the boat trip on the Whitsunday Islands and saw major rain for the first time on my trip. The boat had 41 passengers and about 6 staff and the inside was tiny so when it rained and poured we were all cramped inside like sardines!!! At least we have alcohol, irishmen and a guitar! There were about 30 Irish on our trip and they were hilarious mainly because they were drunk ALL of the time! One guy Damian kept our spirits up by playing the guitar and Freya had the occassional play although she only knows 2 songs!!! We went snorkelling but because of the weather the visibility was poor (Cairns was much better) although we managed to have a giggle because of the jellyfish you have to wear stinger suits which are so funny (see pictures) and so as we couldn't see any fish we decided to to have a ninja fight on the beach which ended in me picking Freya up and us both falling over!!!

The weather was dreadful for the entire trip and on the second night our tents flooded and so we had 38 people and only 3 tents that survived-cosy! One tent also started to blow away with 3 girls inside- Becky to the rescue holding the tent down with rocks and tying the ropes to trees as the tent pegs didn't seem to be working!!! Look at me quite the camping pro now.

But by far the funniest thing to tell you all is that in true Becky style I FELL OFF THE BOAT!!! I am the first person to ever fall off that boat- (well, I do like to be original). Ok maybe this needs some explaining, we had to get on a dingy to the shore and I stepped off the boat onto the dingy and it went one way and I went the other!!! I fell into the water and shouted "MAN OVERBOARD!" as no one else did! Unfortunately I was also wearing my towel round my shoulders at the time because it was cold and so that also got soaked!!!! Then when they brought me another towel someone dropped it in the water!!! At least I had forgotten my camera that day otherwise that would be broken!!! I think that pretty much covers the Whitsundays- bad weather but a brilliant laugh and a fantastic bunch of people (Emm-the Irish rock)

The next stop was Fraser Island, the only way to travel around the Island is by 4x4 and Freya was chief driver with a few backups (Yes guys we gave her a towel as a booster seat don't you worry) There were lots of lakes, creeks and beaches to see and also wild dingos! The group consisted of us 3 English girls, 2 welsh guys (including a Ricky Gervais lookalike and a guy who I could barely understand), 1 french girl, 1 Canadian girl, a Korean couple. I have put some photos up for you to look at the places!!!

From Fraser we headed to Brisbane and that is where we are now!!! I really like Brisbane it is a chilled out city, we have been to the markets by the river, on a boat cruise on the river and off course to the bars and clubs (it would be rude not too!!!) We also got the train to Australia zoo and I FINALLY managed to hold a koala (he was cute although he smelt and pooed alot- luckily not on me though!!!) and also saw the kangaroos and Emu (they are evil) also saw a croc show but not Steve Irwin though- its crazy though there are memorials to him everywhere. He did a great job though as the zoo is not like a zoo at all, the animals have so much space to roam around, the kangaroos are in a forest area and you can go up and stroke them. The highlight of my time in Brisbane (level pecking with the zoo) was FAMILY the biggest nightclub in Australia, we went there last night and it was a Ministry of Sound night and I had the best time although I managed to lose everyone early on a so spent the night dancing around on my own and I was also not drinking because a bottle of water was $5 so I can't imagine how much alcohol was!!! Zaz I did you proud- got the stomp out for you (Honey bunny is back- we need to go clubbing when I get back) It wasn't the same without out you though lady!

I think that brings me pretty much up to date- may have to put the photos on another time as I may run out of time.

Well, off to Surfer's paradise tomorrow- may have a go at surfing and the Bryon Bay for a couple of days and then a long coach journey back to Sydney to arrive on the 23rd just before our xmas party in the apartment on xmas eve!!!

Well for those of you that I won't get the chance to speak to MERRY XMAS and a very happy NEW YEAR (especially as I will be back in the country for most of it- hehe) as I probably won't get the chance to get to the internet now before xmas!!!
