Adrenaline pumped, I'm board the plane. I sit down in my chair and wait in anticipation for the start of my adventure. It can be quite a daunting moment wondering who that person might be who u sit next to for the Lucky for me, I had the most welcoming arrival.

Diane's been back packing for over 20 years. She started off at 23, but unfortunately suffered some serious accidents, including her arm which is now fully paralyzed and most recently damaged her other hand leaving her thumb disolated. But had that stopped her ? No ! She is back on her away again to oz. Her stories and determination to see all that life has to offer were truly inspiring.

It was good to be sharing the first leg of my journey with an experienced back packer, as it reassured me have made the right decision in beginning this trip.

So I joined Diane with her traditional first flight drink of a Bloody Mary. Can't say it was the nicest drink Iv ever had..... So I moved on to the double G&T's, Then to wine..... Followed my 3 night caps of Drambuie and we begin singing Billy Joel songs! Before I know it we are an nearly arriving over Dubai!!!

It was a pleasure to have met Diane. It reminded me how lucky I am, you never know what is around the corner so you have to take every opportunity you can.
