This blog is going to be short and sweet as this is our 'holiday week'
We arrived into Bali at about 7pm and though both completely innocent we were so scared of having things put in our bags because of the horrible stories we have read on our travels. Of course everything was fine.
We pressumed it would be easy to find a place to stay, but ended up walking the streets fro what seemed like hours. We finally ended up back at the first place which was cheap but and had a really nice pool but our room was like a prison sell. Never mind, we dumped our bags had a shower and headed to the nearest bar. We did only plan on one, but that never is the case. We went across to the Tavern bar and got cocktails that are served in huge sports bottles. We got chatting to some Aussie lads and he took us to the Sky Garden, its a 5 floor club and the top floor is an open air bar on the roof, it was so nice. We always see these fancy bars but can never afford but that night we could! Frozen strwaberry daquiris, maguritas and peach melbas mmm mmmm an so cheap. At 11.50, I had 3 lined up to make the most of the cheapies.
Everyday has been pretty much the same, we would spend our days on the beach mesmarised by the waves and the surfers. Neither of us has seen waves like it. One day we got a boogie board out but I had a bikini mishap, I caught a wave but managed to leave my pants in the middle of the sea showing everyone my white backside oops. I gave up after this. That night we met up with Harry and Amy as they were in Bali the same time as us and went our for dinner and a few drinks a few nights.
Another day we got a surfboard, James got so angry becasue he couldnt do it, he was stomping about for hours. I did have a go ( I have finally overcome my fear of the sea so am in it all the time) but i could only get on my knees but still we've not had a lesson yet.
The rest of the days were pretty much the same and nights were spent drinking in Sky Garden. One night we treated ourselfs to a mexican but the other nights we found an amazing little greek restaurant which we went to nearly everyday, alternated with an italian next door, finally a bloody good lasagne = ) The time here went so quickly 8 nights been and gone so now its time for the Gili Islands!
