BULA (hello in Fijian)!!!I am actually back on English soil now so don't worry this will be very short and sweet as Im sure you can imagine, dwelling on the paradise beaches of Fiji and the sights of Hollywood too much is a tad depresing (especially co,ming back and almost being blown away when i walk outside-what is the deal with this weather?).
I fell in love with Fiji immediately. Th people are so chilled and I don't think even know what 'work' means, the weather was to die for (but we won't talk too much about that) and I loved being back in a developing country. We only had one night on the main island before heading out to the surrounding smaller islands. we visited 3 islands in the week we had there. They were all gorgeous! One of the ones we visited was where 'Celebrity love island' was filmed. We spent our time sunbathing (yep this was much needed after we had all lost alot of our tan in New zealand), snorkelling, playing beach volleyball, and hanging out with the locals (which included drinking their local drink Cava). It was definately the hottest place we visted on our trip..at 34 degrees. The sea was like bath temperature! The locals were great and we really enjoyed our time there.
We finished our trip in L.A. We hadn't heard great things about L.A. so didn't go with too many great expectations. But we did actually have a really good time there. Four days was probably enough though and I wasn't a massive fan of all the smog. We did some pretty cool touristy stuff though like universal studios which was wicked, visited santa monica and venice beach, and did a tour of Hollywood where we got to see all the movie stars homes and the 'HOLLYWOOD' sign. We stayed right in the centre of hollywood which was ace and meant we were really close to the famous chinese theatre where they hold the premieres and where the famous hand and foot prints are of all the celebritys. Next door to the theatre is the kodak theatre which is where the oscars are held so we got to see that too. We actually went to see the first viewing of the film '10,000 BC) just after the premiere of it. We sat in the seats of where all the stars sit for the premieres. Hellie and I got interviewed afterwards which you can see on www.reelzchannel.com under the 'first fans section'! We could totally be stars!
Being back in England feels so surreal. we arrived in shorts and strappy tops and got very odd looks. Not enjoying the weather at all but it's great to see family including my new little nephew Emmanuel. Looking forward to catching up properly with you all so make sure you save some space in your diary for me!
Lots of love
Me
