DAY 11

Had to say bye to suze 2day, i wasnt happy! the past 9 months working and hanging out have been awesome was not ready to say bye but i did! once i put her on her airport shuttle i headed back to the hostel to grab my stuff and ctach a cab. found out though that my lock on my bag had broken while still attached to my bag so had to get the hostel guy to break it off with pliers! not a good start to the day!

the nus to niagara was only 2hrs when i got there i had to ask the bus driver of some random city bus if it went by the falls, i had no idea where i was but he was really nice and dropped my at the top of the strip! i headed straight down to the falls and it was AWESOME!!! u see the american falls first which are an amazing sight themselves. i hung about there for a bit taking in the view and taking pics then walked around to the horseshoe falls a.k.a niagara falls and they are just AMAZING!!! the sound they make is unreal u can here them from miles away! walking along the path by the river which is a bit away from the falls u can feel the water spray hit u as u walk along!

tourist season finished yday so the maid of the mist boat wasnt running but i did do the journey behind the falls. which was amazing (sorry gonna keep using that word lol). u walk through these tunnels which have portals in them and u get pretty close up to behind the falls then theres an observation deck which takes u right beside them!! it was so loud and wet lol and just...AMAZING!!! i hung out there for a bit then went for a wee walk back by both falls and headed to burger king for lunch. I felt like a numpty eating on my own which is y i didnt go to the hard rock lol but that feeling soon passed!

decided to head up to the whirl pools after eating, its the part of the river further upstream where 2 rivers meet. it took me about an hr and a half to get there by the time i got there it was dark raining and everything was closed. stupid tourist season finishing early! i was kinda out in the middle of nowhere so had to map read myself back to town to catch my bus back to toronto. i ended up going past souvenier city which was cool, just a big tourist shop but was fun. after making my through back streets i finally ended up back at the station with an hour to spare b4 my bus.

once i got back to toronto i had an hr to kill b4 my bus to new york. now i decided not to get the bus from niagara to NY cause it wld either get me into the city waaaaay too early or too late so i decided to jsut get it from toronto not knowing of course that the bus i got ended up stopping back at niagara falls station anyways!!! dont know y that schedule didnt come up when i went to book my tickets originally but oh well!

the bus drive was LONG!!!! we had to stop at US customs fill out a green form and supposedly get our bags searched the girl in front of my did but i just got asked wot was in mine and sent on my way, weird!

so its now day 12 and i've been awake for 31hours with the exception of a few short dozes on the bus. i'm waiting for jen to arrive so we can hurry up and get this show on the road!
