The rather sobering realisation that this is our last long summer holiday necessitated plans for adventure on a large scale. 2300 miles on two wheels seemed to satisfy the bill. Starting in Singapore we'll work our way up the west coast of peninsular Malaysia, through Thailand and across Laos before emerging onto the coast road of Vietnam which will carry us to Hanoi.

Although we're not doing this explicitly as a sponsored ride, we would like to raise money for an incredibly worthwhile cause. Child's Dream is a charity operating in Thailand, Burma, Laos and Cambodia, working to provide underprivileged children with basic food, water, hygiene and education.
