A quick blog entry to start us off.

We finally arrived in Bangkok today after a short stay in Dubai. It was really nice to feel the sun on our skin after weeks of cold weather at home but i got a little carried away and now look like a lobster on one side of my body - no sun for me for the next few days (also no blog photos today as it might scare you).

We have not really done much today other than sleep and have a quick look around. I somehow managed to find the most expensive shopping centre in Bangkok so Simon has made a mental note not to get off on that skyrail stop again.

Bangkok seems really busy, the traffic is crazy. We have just walked to the 7/11 store and walked past our first go go bar. Simon also threw rubbish in the bin to be met by a baby rat! Sounds crazy but lots of good stuff too.

We have lots of sight seeing planned for tomorrow. We also need to find another hotel as we have already decided to stay longer in Bangkok but our hotel is full at the weekend.
