So I've finally got my act together and got an Indian number sorted out for my time here. Get it in your contacts now so that when I call/text you, you actually answer instead of wondering what strange number is bothering you and ignore me :-)
For those of you in the UK, if the fancy did take you and you wanted to hear my dulcet tones (as described by my darling friend Holly Butterworth - I'm more inclined to think that I sound like a northern lass with the voice of a boy on the phone) then this is the best way to do it:
Call 0844 869 9900 first - this takes you to a service called Just Call which means you can ring me from a landline for just 1p per minute! If you're calling from a t-mobile, orange or 3 mobile phone you can dial 290377 and pay 3p per minute through Cherry Call. If you're not with those networks, I don't know what to tell you just yet! When the lady starts rabbiting on you don't actually have to listen to her, just immediately dial my Indian phone number: 0091 9503 5589 17. Just remember that I'm five and a half hours ahead when you call!!!
For those of you that I've met so far on my trip and are still very much in India, it's only 9503 5589 17 and you don't have to worry about the time difference! (Or the cost - I can't believe how cheap mobile phone calls are here!!)
Speak soon I hope!
Becki xx
P.S. T Mobile are being total idiots about shutting my voice mail down on my english number (I've switched to pay as you go whilst I'm away so I'll still have the same number when I come back - don't replace it!!) so PLEASE DO NOT CALL MY ENGLISH NUMBER AND LEAVE MESSAGES. It literally costs me a fiver every time someone does. Thanks :-)
