We planned to see lake como but apparently it's difficult to get to from here and we are still tired and sick so change of plans we decided to do city bus tour.

It's a gorgeous city full of cute coloured buildings, beautiful architecture and seems to be the centre if music and arts. The arena is huge. Going to see Romeo and Juliet there tonight. Can't wait.

Did some shopping. Got some cute underwear and mum bought some souvenirs.

The red bus took us to castle San pietro which was the most gorgeous Tuscan castle with views of the whole city. It was amazing.

Turned out to be a good day. Went back to our hotel (don't like this hotel, it's a bit old and out of the way, the receptionists are quite bossy and the bathroom is rediculously small) and had siesta so we are ready for the concert tonight at the arena. Tickets were €19 ea.

Went into town and had dinner and met a group of English teachers who had all retired. Had good chat with them over dinner. Then off to find out seats, or should I say our step. Not very comfy but that's why we bought a pillow. It was such an electric feeling as the sun set and the lights started to twinkle.

The opera was all in Italian so we didn't understand it at all. Was quite confused coz I couldn't relate the story to how it was being portrayed. It went for 3 hrs but we left half way coz we were absolutely exhausted and tomorrow us an early start to go to Venice.
