Beki and Steves travels
day1
the day we arrived in sydney! we came from rainy strange newcastle where hippys dance in the streets and youths carry round matresses with them?? into sunny sydney lovely yay.
we arrived in early over the habour bridge and got a glance at the opera house and the skyline.
keith and pauline (steves family) picked us up and took us on a drive tour of the city. we saw loads of stuff including the opera house upclose and bondi beach. we stopped in watsons bay and had doyles famous fish n chips yumyum before heading back to the house.
we have another lovely room to relax in away from snoring men and 16 bed dorms! we had a lovely bbq and then spoke to our rents. what a great day
day 2 blue mountains
today we all drove to the blue mountains and had a look at echo point where we could see the 3 sisters. then went for some lunch at leura before heading to the 3 main non lanscaped attractions.
we headed down into the valley by a really steep train ( i mean the steepest one in the world) and then after a quick board walk headed back up via the cable car. stunning views alround. after this we went across the valley on a sky rail which had a clear bottom floor. it was a long drop!!! we saw a lovely waterfall and some nice birds before heading back to sydney.
when we arrived there we went via the olympic village and saw the multiplex staduim and the rest of the area which was really nice and would have had a wonderful atmosphere when the games were on.
then we went for noodles in the area where the guys are from.
day 3
sightseeing in sydney
we were dropped off at the opera house and went on a grand tour. the outside is spectacular but we were freezing! our first day of proper cold yukyuk. we even had our big coat on. the opera house itself was spectacular but the inside is alot different to what you expect!
we then went to the bridge and walked across it to see the opera house from a better view.
after this we walked along the rocks ( a place in sydney- the old quater) where we ate our sandwhiches in the cold.. humph before heading over to hyde park.
we had a little stroll checked out the church and then walked along mcquarie street saw the old barracks and also the state parliment where we viewed a session!
its not like english politics at all. lots of swearing raucus behaviour and jeering ( well maybe abit) but quote of the day came from the deuputy opposition leader (well we think) "you are sitting on suicide bench and you stink of rotting carcasses..stinking!" how rude. afer this we got picked up and went home to another lovely meal.
