So began the month of endless flying!
Left New Zealand and headed to Fiji, once there set off around the islands, starting with the most idillic island that took 5 minutes the walk the perimeter of! Many stunning beaches, continued to island hop and do some walking, and snorkling with reef sharks. Especially funny was watching a brazilian girl completely flip out when she spotted a shark....the trip was called shark reef, clue in the name there! Admittedly although harmless they do look a bit too sharky, slightly unsettling! Attempted fishing, so unbelievably bad at this! Was more like I was feeding them. However most activities involved sleeping in hammocks! Then....Fiji, the place that had not seen rain for 4 months, got rain! Managed to exhaust every card game ever made with fellow guests also trapped indoors! Then we all made friends with vodka! Luckily it came at the end and I escaped to Auz!
Next stop Melborne. Very excited about a reunion with Carly and Amanda my Melbonian friends! Embarked on a 5 day tour! City sights (mostly involving wine), and a visit to Ramsey street, singing the theme tune! Dont think carly recovered from the shame! Then a trip to Philip island to see some wildlife. Fed a whole lot of wallibys and kangaroos. Had a fantastic time, sad farewell then off to Sydney for a couple days, sights, beaches, cityness.Fifth flight of the flight month took me to Singapore....hello Asia! Here met a very familiar Lindsay and got shown the sights. Far too many shops in Singapore! So to preserve my bank account off to Borneo tomorrow, with an itinerary devised by two Auzzies fuelled by vodka, one rainy day in Fiji! Off to meet the orangutans!
