Aliah Boston Has been great! We Met up with The Big Green Bus, a road trip about alternative fuel from Dartmouth College. Tonight we're hvnaig our event at The Red House, then back to Maine! As for fishing in Kennebunk- We almost caught something.. Ended up being 3 buoys..

Sowmya In all honesty, you might want to fork over a litlte bit of money for good plans. What's $100 for plans when you're probably going to spend $500-$1000 on material to make the hull and a few more thousand dollars for an engine? You don't want to put a $1500 motor on a boat that some guy designed while watching tv, drinking beer, and put on the internet for free. If you're just looking for ideas and whether you can complete the task before buying everything, just look up how to use fiberglass. Your local library will probably have basic plans to build sailboats, canoes, and rowboats. But a speed boat that would go even 30 mph will need a lot more design to it to prevent excessive roll in turning, plane angle, slip, and a variety of other things that 99% of us take advantage of when we steer around a corner at full throttle.

Lorraine & Wal At the risk of sounding boring we love reading about your adventures and trying to picture ourselves being there with you. Arrrrrhhhh you may say who invited the parents , but you both describe your adventures so well that its not hard to imagine actually being there, well done again. We have learned so much about places we may never see, and you make them sound so exiting, beautiful, foriegn, some times bizarre and often almost surreal compared to what we have or see here in Aus. We often get that 'I wish I was there feeling' to experience the things that you describe. Hi R&D I was just thinking (oh no? dont worry it didn't hurt) Mum (Maureen) misses out on you wonderful stroies I WILL down load and post them off to her. Knowing how you & Rebecca love to be active & engaged & your generosity, I can see how Nena would have thought that almost all of dreams had come true when you and Bec arrived at the park as part of your adventure. Keep up the good work it makes us feel very proud of both of you. Wal reckons that he is going to buy a set of welding gear and have it ready for your return. You see we have this dog that was left to us abouit the same time as you departed Australia and it escapes from its cage or from the steel cable leash she is often tied to. Soooooooooo, do we have job for you. Speaking of Monkeys I suppose that just about sums up the weather in Canada, real Brass Monkey Weather.

wal & loz Great to see and talk to you the other day hope you and Damien are well. I guess its about New Years Eve over there about now and your celebrating hard or sleeping it off. We had about 20 friends over last night for drinks to see the new year in. As you could image not a huge rage but still didn't get to bed till 4am consequently today has been very slow. We had 85mm rain over Christmas which put a few more litres into the dam (it was very low) and is also now giving the lawns a bit of a green tinge. Spoke to Lachlan via skype the other day which was a nice surprise when he rang, especially after weeks of silence. We will be spending a few days up with Jan before we pick up Lachlan from the airport on 11th January. Hello to Damien, all the best for the New Year. Love M&D XOXO
