Finally got a job! Been there about a month now...a little sandwich shop on the beachfront...not the most glamorous job but its money in the bank...$19 an hour for making sandwiches is ok with me!!! it is now 2 days before Christmas and I gotta tell you it is so weird to not be in a cold atmosphere (altho i hear its 75 in charleston)...we were walking around this past Sunday before going to the bar (Sunday is the biggest drinking night of the week in Australia) in our summer dresses/shorts and here they are singing Frosty the Snowman! I am excited to go to the beach with my Santa hat on Christmas day..the elderly couple we live with are making a lasagna and a chicken...don't ask...but thought it was a nice gesture. Today is my roommat/best mate here 21st birthday...such a baby compared to me! Going to plan my travelling within the next week or so, so I am excited for that and ready to see the real Australia! As you might know, New Years in Sydney is one of the biggest parties in the world so we are planning on camping out at the Royal Botanical Gardens from around 10 am to get a good spot to see the fireworks display. Have only three months left here which is unbelievable as the time has gone by so fast! So now I must plan yet another going away party but this time Aussie-style. =( I have already started planning more adventures after my return to the failing economy back in the States so watch out world as I have officially caught the travelling bug!
