We woke up to a new day in paradise at Maloneys beach and decided to do a little paid work.
I had already taught the others the basics of Balloon tying (that is tying balloons in to different shapes for children) and the plan was that we would perform as we traveled making money as we go.
Mareike decided that she and I would go out first as we were best to perform in pairs.
Unfortunately the local Santa across the road where we set up was giving away free animal balloons and the town was so quite that there were very few people around, but we decided to give it a go anyway.
I was so proud of Mareike she did SO WELL !!!
Now Mareike will tell you about how hard it was to tie the balloons and how many balloons popped . But the very first balloon that a cute little girl chose was one of Mareike's creations.
After a short time we had made $44 dollars and we decided to grab some snags (sausages) for lunch and head back to the boys who had been practicing their new balloon tying skills back at the camp.
We all had lunch together and decided that there just was not enough people for the guys to bother taking their turn balloon tying.
Instead we decided to explore south of Batemans bay.
