Arubawe loved our day in Aruba...it is a tiny Carribean Island and has the nickname "One Happy Island" we wandered around without a tour guide and even in the run down looking areas we felt safe. The weather was......yep you got it....scorchingly hot. It was an effort to walk around but we managed it for a few hours! Little little got a new t-shirt from Aruba, it seemed to have been made just for her. I also managed to get the only local beer on the island. ...

Cartagena Columbia.when you step out of bed at 8am and back away into the shade of the cabin due to the heat...you know its going to be a crazy hot day. 88 degrees at 8am....gulps!!we had a really good day in Cartagena, the horse drawn carriage ride was brilliant and the streets were shady and very colonial looking. Some of the horses looked a bit worse for wear but the majority looked good and ours, a nice grey, was a great chap. Back on the ship by early afte...

Hey guys a quick update to let you with the panama webcam links know that we are half hour or so late going through. its 1pm in England and we will be heading through Miraflores lock in about half an hour. Ship is called Island Princess. You can't miss it!

It took us all day, as expected, to transit the Panama Canal's three locks and lakes. The locks themselves are nothing like you get back home....massive and a real feat of engineering. In between the locks were big lakes which we sailed through...these were really scenic and we enjoyed that bit as much as the actual locks themselves.  The canal has landslides on its banks from time to time and they are working constantly to strengthen the banks of the cut...

Day at sea.Well, last night was pretty eventful for little little. She got to meet Whin, the barman in the Crooners bar where we spend a lot of our time as barflys. He had heard about her and kept on about us bringing her down to meet him....so last night she donned her best shirt and jeans along with her light up Sketcher shoes and she went down and sat at the bar. Whin thought she was cute (obviously) and even produced a staff badge for her to wear. No one ...
