We had a very rough night again last night....still isn't affecting me, dave or little little. I thought I might tip out of bed a few times in the night! The bunks are not very big either....(single bunks and mine folds down from the wall!)
We arrived in Honningsvag at around 12 lunchtime....it was, of course, a town in darkness. Was a shame that it was a Sunday too because all the shops were closed! BUT did we find something special?? did we ever!
Dave and I wandered the opposite way to the hip replacement gang and up a hill only those 40 and under 40 could manage. (I have to say 40 and under due to dave reaching that ripe old age. *grins*
Anyway, I digress....we found....an iced over football pitch!!! with hockey sized goals and.....a ball!!
A game of epic quality then took place. We had slipping sliding, pushing and shoving....stanley matthew like shuffles and goals galore.....also a rather epic diving save by me. We stayed there for ages playing on the frozen pitch....it was a real highlight! Am going to try to upload a very small snapshot of the video we took.
After we got back on board the boat we sailed off heading for our most northern most point.....on the way we got our first look at the northern lights! I managed to take some pictures.....you need to bear in mind when you see these that I was on a moving ship....in gale force winds...and about minus 4 in temperature! I am quite proud of em!!
Dinner tonight was a buffet....and now we are back on our way Northwards. Was a really really good day. check out the pictures and video!

monkeypants Hello!!!!! I was quite proud of the photos!
GARY ADAMS These photos of the lights and the video are quite eerie. It's hard to imagine their effect in real life. They must make up a little for missing the dog sled ride.
