Sun sea and Siesta.
East China Sea
Today has been a relaxing and very much needed day at sea. After the, rather taxing, embarkation process, it has been very nice to be aboard and start to enjoy the ship. The Sapphire Princess is similar in many ways to all the other Princess cruise ships we have been on. This means that it becomes a home away from home, familiar and friendly.
Our new idea for stateroom location is working out great! Usually we go for a mini suite but, this time, we decided to try for a delux balcony on the aft. It is so nice sitting on the balcony and looking directly out the back onto the wake. A really nice choice and one I think we will stick with in the future.
The adult pools, spa and also the on board buffet (which, by the way, is always incredible) are a mere stones throw away from us. We exit our room, walk directly out of the door to the right of our cabin and, voila, there is the pool. I love that!
Today I have swum 42 lengths in the other, slightly deeper, pool. This equates to around 600 meters. Not too shabby! This morning, before breakfast, David and I embarked on our, now customary, game of basketball on the sports deck. I won the first game 10-0, lost the second one 10-8 and then made amends by winning the decider 10-9. We always play before breakfast and really enjoy it. No children on board means that the basketball court is really only for those physically able to treck to the very very top of the ship. So far, no one else has been in there when we arrive!
For those of you interested, these are our co-ordinates for location as I type. 31.57 degrees North and 127.40 degrees East. I have no idea what that means but David assures me that is where we are. East China sea....I think.
The weather is lovely and the seas like glass. No movement at all. It is around 78 degrees tempurature wise and, being at sea, not quite so humid at the moment. We are well on our way to Nagasaki!
This afternoon we decided to have a small nap. Three hours later we woke up! Oops....must still have needed it. I have included a photo from our balcony. More photos will be added once I find some free wifi because I need to watch minutes. Little little and little little little both say hi. They are chillaxing on the bed right now.Bye all!xx
