We had a great nigh with the two guys we met from Chicago, returning to our favourite pizzeria and mixing one too many types of alcohol. Turns out they can speak Russian too?! The night was an absolute laugh.
This morning we went to get our refund for the tour and failed slightly, eventually leaving when she said she would phone the police. Not taking any chances we will persue this when we get home. She has not heard the last of us!!! This manager was hiding behind the phone and told the poor guy that if he didn't deal with us he'd lose his job. Anyway onwards we go to Milan...
The longest train so far at just under two hours we then braved the tram to our hostel. It was absolutely rammed and neither of us really felt safe but knew we were working ourselves up. Found out hostel and can't work out what it feels more like.. A brothel, a prison or Austin Powers party pad? On the bright note we're only here for one night.
We went out exploring hoping to go up the duomo and see the view. Turns out that the slit in Lucy's dress is an issue. Honestly!... We may try make time for the Duomo tomorrow though.
We visited the Castello Sforzesco and gardens on the outskirts and enjoyed the clear blue skies, sleeping the sun (are you noticing a pattern here?). It was a bit like a Uni campus and the topless were enjoyed by us both, but the PDA by Italians is just tooooo far!!! (Too rude to go in to details)
We had hoped to go up the Torre Banca but being Monday that wasn't open!
As we're in Milan it seemed only fitting to have Aperitivo and it's upsetting that we don't have something similar in the UK!
As much as we aren't a fan of the hostel the combination of wifi and a 6euro bottle of wine can't be complained about really!
