Retired & Traveling
My phone never did get past the Apple icon all night and by morning, it was VERY warm to the touch...I guess because it stayed illuminated all night. Rich was still sick in spite of taking the meds, so he got in touch with his urologist back home and got a stronger prescription.
I did some laundry and then Kit drove me to the Apple Store where I spent the next 3 hours learning that my phone had gone nuts when I tried to reboot it while it was updating, and the only way to fix it was to wipe it clean and take it back to factory settings. This meant I lost all my pictures from our trip. :(( I teared up when the tech was telling me this, and she was very sympathetic, which helped. The good news was that I'd posted some of my pictures to this blog, and also that I hadn't taken that many since the quality of mine aren't as good as what Rich and Pam took. The bad news is that I took lots of pictures of us going through the Canal that neither one of them took and they're gone. Such a bummer!! At least I was able to get my phone restored along with all my apps, contacts, etc.
Kit and I were starving at this point, so we ate at a fun place right across the street from the Apple Store, The Lazy Dog. Very good.
We went back to her place to check on Rich and he was napping. I finished doing our laundry and she and I left to go to the Thornton Winery for a much deserved glass or 4 of wine. :)) We actually did the white wine tasting, which she gets free as a member, how fun is that?? It was dark by the time we finished, so went home and visited with the guys.
We ordered Chinese food for dinner, chatted for a bit and then I was pooped since it had been such a stressful day dealing w my phone.
