Arrival: 3:32 PM Kissimmee, Florida

Travel Time: 6:00 hrs.
I still have fingers. Molli stared at me non-stop for fifteen minutes. I got freaked out and braved the mud holes to get her food. She didn't say thank you, but she did have a smirk on her face that said, "So who’s the pack leader, now?"
Much, much nicer weather today. We got on the road and had beautiful, clear, blue skies. We made good time, until we turned south, down the peninsula. We came down I-75, but I didn’t want to go on the turnpike (gotta pay a toll—or troll, not sure). So we exited the interstate at Ocala, and made our way to State Road 27. It is a gorgeous area here, just beautiful to look at, and we got our fill of it. We crawled through small towns and country hillsides, with a traffic light every 37 feet (all red, of course). We finally made it to the KOA in Kissimmee, and we started to settle in.
As we were extending the slide-out, we heard a very unnerving sound: it was a grinding noise coming from the slide-out mechanism. Not a good sign. We pulled the slide back in and lived with it closed up for the night. It’s off to Camping World in the morning to have it checked out.
C’mon, Mr. H. I like your movies. Can’t you just leave us alone?

Rich I found it strange that Florida has beautiful toll roads right alongside the Interstate. Being frugal (and they charge an arm and a leg on those toll roads), I opted for the Interstate on the trip from Miami to Kiss-a- me. I know, Kiss-seam-me, but I like my pronunciation better. THought it might give Renee some ideas. The Interstate had a lot of traffic, and we watched cars wiz by on the toll road, but once out of the county, the Interstate traffic thinned out.
