Spent an incredible 19 hours on the bus to get to Boston from Niagara. Took us 3 hours to get over the border into America. Nightmare. Due to that delay we had missed our bus in Buffalo to go to Boston so we had to go to New York to then get a bus back up to Boston. God bless Greyhound.
We arrive in Boston early the Tuesday morning and managed to find a bar that was showing the Celtic v Benfica match at 2.45pm. Celtic won the match 3-0 so decided i would make a day of it. Why not. Went to the Bell Inn Hand which is the oldest pub in America for a pint then down to The Purple Shamrock for some tea and a few pints. Then off to The Black Rose for some live music and quite a few beers. Not sure what time i got back to the hostel.
Next day we took a Duck tour around Boston which was interesting. That way i could see more of the city and not have to walk. What a result. Also visited Cheers and had a few pints in there.
Also took in an ice-hockey match whilst there. Went to see the Boston Bruins first home game of the season. First ever ice-hockey game i'd been to. Boston won which made it a very good atmosphere so decided to have a few pints after the game aswell to celebrate. I now have a favourite ice-hockey team. nice one.
Second time i have been to Boston and still love it. Would go back in a second.
