Massive day on the road today. Late last night when looking at the map of where to stay over the next few days, we were uninspired by the thought of staying in Sydney with the caravan and couldn't decide on our next few days locations in mid NSW. Hard to compare to the NT & QLD weather and locations.
We made the decision to hightail it back to Warrnambool to spend a couple of days with Gma & Gpa and pick up Harry.
Today we drove from Port Macquarie to Coolac (just outside of Gundagui).
687kms by itself seemed a long day. Add to that getting through Sydney with a very ordinary link (currently building 9km underground link) and an accident on the motorway (where a truck jack-knifed) which cost us an hour and we were all beat (especially Baz). Then the gale winds and storm made the going tough.
Good chance for the kids to catch up on some of their journal and a bit of rabbit (Watership Down).
Thanks to Wiki found a lovely freecamp outside a lovely little pub at Coolac.
Baz attempted to do some work however was absolutely beat. Will have to wait until Thursday.
