Hi everyone, thanks for your messages. I'm having a slight technical hitch trying to put some of our piccies on the site - hopefully get Paul on the case to sort it. We've had a really busy day, San Fran is awesome - thats what everyone says here about everything! It really is an amazing city and we've walked miles to cram in as much as possible.
Today we went on the cable cars that go up the steep hills and over the bumps - just like in the movies! We've walked down the crooked street where all the cars are squeezing around the tight bends - not one for the campervan. We've had irish coffees at a famous cafe that lines them up along the bar and everyone sits along the bar watching them made, each one having about 4 shots of whisky in, so Paul was in his element. We were hoping to go to Alcatraz but when we got to the boat it seemed every tourist in San Francisco had the same idea so we gave it a miss!
Tomorrow we leave the city to pick up the van, sounds simple but it involves taking our cases on the trolley bus and then a train to the other side of the bay. The plan is , so Paul says, to just pick up the van and make our way back across to the coast to pick up Highway 1. I'm counting on us having a Sat Nav otherwise it could be a tense start to our RV adventure!
As soon as we can get the photos sorted I'll put some on, got some great shots! Bye for now, Have a nice day!
