Amsterdam. Wow. What a beautiful city. The canals are everywhere. Bert and I rented bikes and have been pedaling around sightseeing. In every corner there is another surprise. Yesterday we rode around practically the entire day, hitting a couple of museums, the Asian district, and the Red Light district. Today, we rode around a bit more, stopping at a flea market on the north side. They had many booths with people selling second-hand items. Think outdoor thrift store. I picked up a few scarves there for really cheap. Tomorrow, I plan to head out to the Anne Frank house (the secret annex in her diary), then we will take a free ferry to the area north of the major canal. Our train to Prague leaves tomorrow at around 7 p.m. - our first overnight train. I will probably update next sometime during the Prague leg. I'm also excited to meet up with Kate, a friend from UNT who happens to be studying in the Czech Republic and is leaving from Prague on the 28th! Yaaay!
It's tough to believe that we've been here a week and we've experienced so much. I can't wait to upload pictures, but I need a better connection. Hopefully they will come soon. I've taken hundreds already!
