we decided to leave hoi an and head to hanoi and get to china. we went to the train station to find a ticket and got told they were all sold out for the next 3 days. dam it we thought as we were sitting out side the station thinking what to do and dreading a 30 hour bus journey a taxi driver was like taxi were you go. i said hanoi well trying to tickets sold out. he said if i can get you a ticket then you give me 100.000 dong witch is £3 we said ok and within 5 mins he said follow me suddenly two tickets were avalible for the sold out train. resolt we thought. its funny in vietnam when they say sold out they mean how much you going to give me. the whole country is run by backhanders.
we arrived to hanoi and it was so cold it was about 10 degress to cold for us but the more we get north the colder we know its going to be, we looked at the weather and its -5 in bejing :( not good. we was both shocked at how grotty it was we found people using the street like a public toilet and i dont mean in a bush. i mean number 2s in the middle of the pavment. its not very plesent every one spits every were and its shocking to see it, its like being around animals to be honest animals have more sense of higine at least a cat digs a hole and burries his waste.
we only spent a day here and got a night train to china. north and south vietnam are totaly diffrent and we both loved south vietnam and disliked the north the south is so much more friendly and cleaner.
