Hello!
Well Canada was brilliant. We saw beavers (much to Rob's delight!), deer and a turtle.
Did lots of walking, canoeing and cycling. Mr Beef fell off his bike, walked into a tree and butted a pint glass - nothing changes hey. His response was simply "Get Bent" !
Anyways, sorry about the bag but glad things are looking up. Carys - u will have to get new Gucci's! Tommo, buy the woman new sunnies.
Take care and speak soon xx
Chris
Carys,
Glad to hear you are as good at White Water rafting as when we went with Dave O'Callaghan - I've heard the rat urine disease is just as bad out there as it is in Llangollen!! All missing you here, although we will cope by spending the day at Alton Towers on Thursday celebrating your quarterly achievements.
Sorry to hear about the bag. Were you drunk?
Hi to Mark.

Glad to hear you are living like the locals and buying Oakley and Nike - wouldn't want any of that Latin American ethnic stuff !
Do your emails still work - I feel rather naked posting on here, even if I have nothing particularly exciting to say
Enjoy the Incas.

Dear James. I'm very glad to know everyone's well. Aunty Carys is fine and doesn't need anything sent to her thanks anyway. Talked to French girls yesterday who had the exact same thing happen to them. I have new "genuine" Oakleys and Nike bag (major expense at ten pound for the two). I went rafting yesterday and was the only one to fall in the (rather cold) river. No surprise there. We went to the market today and had a lot of women wave papers at us to try and get us to buy smoothies - too surreal. Still loving the hostal here - talked to lots of friendly people and am starting to improve my Spanish by watching films with subtitles. It is raining heavily today, but we are hoping that it will stop by the time we go on our long walk to Machu Pichu. Take care, love M&C.
James
Hi Uncle Mark & Aunty Carys,
My Dad has gone out for an hour and has left his laptop behind so I thought I would write you a quick message to say hello. Auntie Carys... I'm sorry to hear about your bag being stolen, did you want me to get my Mum and Dad to post a new book out to you? Uncle Mark... my Dad says he still has your old skiing sunglasses from when you were in school, did you want him to send those to you as well? I hope you enjoy the walk over the next couple of days, although Dad always says that walking is bad for your knees! Mummy said to say that she still hasn't had a date for her 1st baby scan, but she'll get the pictures to you as soon as she can.
Missing you lots, James x
Mark
Following the temporary setback in Lima, the travels have taken a turn for the better in Cuzco. We seem to have landed in a great hostel, where the people appear friendly and you can actually see blue sky as opposed to smog. We're here for 5 days before we start the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu.
Rowen - it's good to know your geography is still as good as it always was, think we're a few miles closer than the million you estimated. Thankfully your fish caring skills are better. It's good to hear from you and note you're thinking about us.
Shimmo - what an unexpected post! Haven't heard from my crazy Canadian / Welsh friend for months then I get a post on the message board when we're in Peru. I would take up stilt walking but am already about 2 foot taller than most Peruvians! Even Carys is feelling like a giant.
Dodders - guess the wedding must still be on as you didn't mention it. Try a Chilean or Argentinian wine on Thursday night instead of the usual Carlsberg when you're doing your ironing. Budgets? What the hell are they?
Dodders
Well here I am sat with a glass of Austrlalian Red...
Carys gutted about the bag incident - Glad nothing too important was taken...
Mark - Work is as dull as it was before, cant wiat for Mr & Mrs Beef to get back to hear all about those Torronto tales.. It beats budgeting, and business plans..!!
No more news, but hey its only 3 days.!!!
Take care.. Speak soon.. Sue xx

Hi there Mark and Carys!
Hope all is well and your having an extreme time. Was talking to Neil and was about to tell him to tell mark that I got a new hobby(I know how you found it hilarious that I have so many), but he told me you had both run off to the wild! How exciting! Anyway, the new hobby is stilt walking. How cool! its scary. Hope you two will be picking up some cool hobbies whilst your off country hopping, but hobbies dont get much better then travelling the world!
Speak to you soon,
Meryl

Sorry to hear about the bag snatch - I have told the Oscars about it and they are mad to get over there and get the thieving B*ST£$DS. How freaky is that? - I went to school today and you guys spent the day a million miiles away (is that right Mark?) exploring a new and exciting place! Hope you have had a great day
Take care, Rowen !

You're in Lima!? When did this happen? I only saw you last week? What about the free meals at The Bridge?
PS If you see Chico Perres or Antonio Rattan, say hi from The Vinegar Strokes. Tell them we'll be in touch about getting over here for the quiz.
Carys
What an eventful day! We have seen some catacums and the inside of a police station. Don`t worry - we are both fine. My daypack was stolen. We were in a restaurant and the bag was at my feet. It was taken during the meal - we don`t know how. No documents were taken luckily, but my guidebook to South America with all the notes about where we wanted to visit and things to do was in there, as were my Gucci sunglasses and driving glasses. Not the end of the world, but a pain and not the best start to our trip. Luckily we leave Lima tomorrow - we hope to make happier memories in Cuzco! Carys
