Mr Hatch,
Just to keep you up to date. Yes you were right, Rob did propose in Canada. Unfortunately however, I had to say NO!
Have checked the piccies - need more growth!!!!!!
I know Carys will not like the tickling but it will be entertaining for me!
Take care in Bolivia - watch out for those Frey Bentos pies!

Glad to hear your both ok! What was the highlight of the Inca trail if not Machu Pichu? Hope you enjoy Bolivia. As you are well aware i did not ask the question and i think it's a touch unfair playing with Chris's emotions in this way! Hope you know your website is being closely followed as part of business planning news now. It even featured in quote of the month. No doubt Dave will be downloading some of you pictures for the next issue and supplying an up to date map of your whereabouts.
Hope you have a good time in Bolivia. I'm off to play football with Kenny and Austin. So another miserable half an hour in store for me!

Mark & Carys
All - just to let you know of a slight change in our itinerary ... on Monday 24th we're off to Bolivia. We realise this is a slight change of plan but Carys got talking to some people in a pub who mentioned that you can go hunting for anaconda and pirhana from Bolivia and so this swung it. (honestly!). Will send you some updates and pictures from there in due course, assuming we don't get eaten.
Carys
Ian, sorry to hear about the (lack of) redundancy but glad that all is ok with you and family. Wales decided to give Germany a miss and wait until we can get a tan whilst playing football, plus of course we're concentrating on our national sport - rugby. You'll be pleased to hear that we've goaded several Australians about the cricket so far, just wait until we get to Oz.
Tommo
Mrs Beef. Do Bears poo in the woods in Canada? Although I¡m sure the Incas had to "do number twos by the side of the road", luckily the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu now has strategic 'pit stops' for the tourists. If you look at my photos closely I'm sure you'll spot one of me with 2 weeks growth. After the trail it got shaved off so you're going to have to wait another few weeks for similar pictures. Heard that you and Beef got engaged In Canada, is this true? He told me he was planning on propsing whilst you were away. (hope he didn't change his mind ....)
Mrs Beef
Hello,
Glad you enjoyed the Incas! Is it true you have to do number twos on the side of the road?
Tommo, where is the beard? I am waiting!!!!!!!
Ian&alwen

Have managed to find your site, i am sure this internet thing will catch on!!!
You both seem to be having a fantastic time, regardless of the Lima incident. I did not get redundancy unfortunately, and have been promoted and i am moving in the new year.(a whole 40 miles closer to home). Alwen and the boys are all fine and send their love. Take care and enjoy, will speak soon.

HELLO ALL! I get back to a PC and notice you've all gone a little mad with the number of postings on our message board. Thanks all, it's really good to hear from you, I'll try and write back to you ASAP (Carys will obviously deal with the Welsh ones, as I don't have a clue what you're saying!)
THE INCA TRAIL ........... somehow, despite sub-Peruvian fitness levels (ie we're not built like mountain goats with iron lungs and calves of steel) we survived the 4 day hike along the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu. The journey starts around 2,000 metres, peaks at 4,215 metres before dropping to Machu Pichu. The journey itself was spectacular and was as impressive as Machu Pichu itself.
As a result of a landslide yesterday that blocked the only route, a trainline, from Aguas Callientas back to Cusco we spent 5.5 hours on a train platform, 1.5 hours on a train and then 2 hours on a bus with an Ayrton Senna wannabe at the wheel. However, we made it safe and sound and are now back at the Loki Hostel in Cusco for a day or so. Saturday morning we're taking the train to Puno and then to Arequipa which aparently is even higher and colder than our last few days have been ... why not? we're almost acclimatised now.
We've put our photos on to disk and I was just about to start uploading to this site when I noticed they've not put CD drives on the PC! I'll try and find an internet cafe somewhere soon.
Hope all is well with everybody. We're planning to start drafting an email later to let you know some more about our trip to date.
Mark
