We stayed at the Rear of a 4* hotel in Salamanca that had full camping facilities. The local bus stopped at the hotel and we caught it for the 20 min ride into the city. It was still a bit too cold to get the scooter off.
Salamanca is one of Spain´s highlights with a grand square widely considered to be Spain´s most beautiful central plaza. It was a bit cold and windy so I popped into Zara and bought a coat as we weren´t dressed properly for the weather. As it was Saturday lots of locals were strolling around the square chatting and sitting at cafes drinking coffee. There was even a wedding which was good to sit and watch.
We stayed at Salamanca for 2 nights before moving off on the way to Portugal but taking a scenic route through the mountains rather than the motorway.
