The little fishing village of Moulay Bouselham is a low key beach resort for Moroccan families as well as a few European windsurfers and bird watchers. The Blue Lagoon just south of the town attracts thousands of migrating birds including wildfowl, waders and flamingos.Â
Very much a one street town the main attraction for us was sitting one evening having a meal across the road from the Mosque and watching the hundreds and hundreds of men all filing in at 7.15 when the wailing started. We couldn't believe it and didn't think the town was big enough for all those people to live there. It was a strange little place with cows roaming the street eating rubbish out of bins side by side with a family of wild dogs and various other strays!!!
The campsite, however, was an oasis of calm and quiet in a woody pined area complete with peacocks which although could be a bit noisy at night certainly made a welcome change from barking stray dogs!!!
