............."Can i ask what the catch of the day is with the "fish" & chips meal please......."..........."yea sure, its shark"!!!! Mmmmmm ok i will have it! So me n pa had some shark with chips. Very nice to be honest. At least its one less shark in the sea to bite me!
We drive to Port Fairy for brekkie then drive to Mount Eccles National Park where there are lakes in the volcano craters. It is stunning. Really lovely view. Although i wouldnt risk swimming in it. We carry on to Hamilton......theres not much there so we drive through to Ballarat.......i need the loo n the only near place to stop was near a lake....an outside dunney! Ewwwwwwwwww!!!!! All thats goin through my head now is 'snakes spiders snakes spiders snakes spiders!' so i chicken out n get dad to open the metal door to the stink pot......ewwwwwwww!!!!!!! A sit down wee was NOT an option. It stank! Eugh! Anyway needs must.....as i leg it out of the fly ridden pit. I get 5 minutes basking in the sun after alot of handwipes later.
When we get to Ballarat we go to Soveriegn Hill which is a gold mining part and a big walk through tourist theme town. Of course its at an extortionist cost but worth it to see as my grandparents had also once visited it. Very interesting. Needless to say with most of the day spent on the road (well done Pa!) we were ready to get back and enjoy the last couple of days.

Jan Hi Martin and Princess Gemma! I will miss your adventures in the wilds with no sanitation or food - except chips, cheese and beer! Back at Ulladullin will be tame by comparison - even with the wild Smokey roaming in the grounds. Give us Pardons a call before your chauffeur collects you! PS Enjoy your flight home! Jan
