Morning!
It's just taken us 17 mins to get to this page on the internet which probably explains why uploading photos is nearly inpossible! It may be because the technology is very dated, or it may be that we are getting charged 15 Rand per quarter of an hour!
Anyway, we have passed back through the Swazi border into South Africa and are staying at a smallish place called Bushlands, slightly inland, in the middle of what can only be described as a picturesque series of log cabins in a safari backdrop. We have a little log cabin to ourselves (well we're actually sharing it with Max, the owner's little dog) and it has a lovely pool and bar.
In the end we decided not to go Quad Biking in Swaziland but instead walked, or should i say, hiked, to the orphanage down the road with our new found friend Pilar who worked where we were staying, and took the kids some pens, pencils, colouring books and sweets and although i think we both would have enjoyed quad biking, it definitely felt like we'd done the right thing by the time we got back.
Today we are are going on a Dumazulu trip which involves traditional dancing and singing so with Laura's dancing and my singing we should get on like a house on fire!!
On Sunday we are moving on to Sodwana Bay so that Laura can get her Padi license as it's very reasonable out here and we're staying there for 5 days and nights. The guy in Swaziland who recommended it said of the place, 'To be honest though, there's not much to do there except dive, sunbathe and go fishing....' So now you can see why we've booked 5 days!
We have got some great photos and are finding it very frustrating not to be able to show you any but promise we will keep trying.
Take care,
Jo and Laura xxx
