We spent the majority of yesterday in Universal Studios, Hollywood. We did the Studio Tour which included a trip down Wysteria Lane and through lots of other sets including War of the Worlds, The Mummy and Jaws. It also included a King Kong 3D experience, far too real - Amy most definitely wasn't keen on the spider that launched itself at her and promptly screamed like a complete girl!!
We also did the Jurassic Park ride (wet isn't the word but at least we dried out quickly), The Mummy Rollercoaster and the Simpsons Ride along with a few shows. The Simpsons was better than we expected, a simulator ride that even managed to make you feel you went upside down!
We popped to Hollywood Boulevard on the way back to the hotel to see the "Walk of Fame". What a let down, we expected it to be in some lovely posh area and instead it was full of cheap, grotty souvenir shops, beggars and poor quality street performers trying to get your dollar. Oh well, we managed to see a few names and get a few pictures before continuing back to the hotel. Although only about 20 miles away and a Freeway to get us there, it took over an hour and a half - apparently 8 lanes isn't enough! Once back we enjoyed a nice chilled out evening with the LA Dodgers on TV and a bottle of JD that needed finishing J
So, this is it, our last morning in the USA. We have had the most amazing 15 nights, and can't quite believe how much we have managed to squeeze in. Can't wait to get home now and collect the boys. I'm sure then we'll read this blog back and be reminded of things we have forgotten, Vegas seems like years ago!! We are looking forward to sharing all the photos (2,536 at the last count!) and memories with everyone.
