Slept in a bit this morning. Didn't leave the room until about 11:30 a.m. No rain today but its cold! It was 38 degrees at abouut 10:00 a.m. but it just feels colder here. We ate "lunch" at the Pancake Pantry. Another delicious meal! It cost $32.00 and they only accept cash. Of course they provide a handy ATM with a $3.00 fee. Then we headed to the tram to Ober, TN Ski Resort. We bought the cheesy tram portrait as a souviner. I had the man change the date on it to the first so we could have something with our anniversary date printed on it. Yes, I guess that's silly, but that's how I like to do things. Snow tubing was sold out by 10:00 a.m. You have to get there EARLY in order to do that. We thought about skiing but that's about $100.00 each. So, we just walked around and did more sight seeing. We were watching the people snow tubing and skiing. We video chatted with the kids and showed them the snow machine. I bought my first set of souviners today. I wanted to purchase a frame and a magnet to take home. So I found a combo, a picture frame magnet, I bought two. When I was a kid I had a little snow globe from The Smoky Mountains so, when I saw one today I used the excuse "we need to buy Macey one of these" since I felt I was too old to buy one for myself. We observed people ice skating and almost went ourselves since neither of us has ever done that, but we decided to head back to the downtown area instead.

We did more sight seeing and just taking it all in. We went into the Davy Crockett Tennessee Whiskey store and sampled some free whiskey. We had planned on eating at the New York Pizza place and look around at the Paws and Claws store. They were located in the mall and it had closed at 6:00 p.m. We're going to try and do that tomorrow. We ended up eating supper at Shoney's. Warren and I agree that Gatlinburg shuts down too early for us. Most shops close at 10:00 p.m. We could have lasted a few more hours. We got back to our room fairly early (for us). Warren started the fire in the fireplace, per my request, and we just relaxed. Tomorrow we check out. I wished we could stay just one more night, but I am very thankful that we got to come period. Warren has made it a very enjoyable get away!
