More transport...
After a two- night- stop in Pemuteran (a rather boring beach town aimed at high-budget older tourists, not really worth mentioning except for some good snorkeling) we continued our odyssee - westwards, java-bound!
From Pemuteran to our destination of the day - the volcano Bromo on Java- we had to use no less than different forms of transport: car with driver, public ferry (only 45 minutes this time), rikshaw, train, angkot (sort of a small public innercity bus) and finally minivan up the mountain... and there we were, in a deserted mountain village completely devoid of any charm, but with lots of dirty and overpriced accommodation - and groups of kids following you around to sell you woolen hats (yes, we might have bought one - but in our defense: it was less than one euro and morten looked like justin vernon in it with his grand beard :)
Only plus: Mortens trek up the mountain at 4 am the next morning (not for me, as my Bali belly had finally cought up with me... oh, the joys of the Indonesian squat toilet!)
