On the plain to Melbourne: eat, watch a movie, walk to the toilet, sleep, eat, watch a movie, walk to the toilet, eat, watch a movie, sleep, play tetris, walk to the toilet, eat… Do you get the picture? Well the day went by quickly because we flew against the time.
After getting through costumes (sweet dog, bossy women) Karin met us outside. What lovely smile after such a long flight. Rebekka (of cause) forgot her sweatshirt in her seat in the plain, so we had to contact Toll Dnana. It turned out to be closed but luckily there was a phone number. Karin called them and 10 minutes later two guys came carrying the sweater, heavily winking at Rebekka – probably because of her big smile and pointing at her swestshirt, with background cheering from three other women – they must have felt like the heroes of the day!
At Karin’s place around midnight we met Ian (the husband), Sam (the dog), and the Smokey (the cat), were told about the two guineapigs (Butter and Harney) and the spider outside (Charlotte) which were there to eat the mosquitoes. The girls were asleep but we had small tour in the house which turned out to include an indoor heated swimming pool!
Our room was beyond our wildest expectation – it is really big and looks better than a hotel room. We even have our own bathroom. It did not take long before all of us were asleep expecting to wake up at 4am because both Karin and Ian said it was normal dure to the time difference. We did not meet their expectation and slept until 9am because Karin woke us up. She had a very exiting day in store for us.
