Hello from Alice Springs in the Red Centre or is it the Dead Centre!! we all survived the coach trip yesterday which was actually quite interesting despite all 3 of us being split up sitting next to complete strangers and in Both Joe's & my case someone who didn't speak any english, oh how the miles just ticked away.

Anyway, Alice Springs dosen't seem to have much to see & do apart from some very dodgy looking shops. We are killing time today just wandering around the town prior to getting the train at 6pm tonight. Something we are all looking forward to, plus it takes us towards the realsunshine, 30+ degrees !! At last a use for all the sunscreen.

Saw a lot of Road trains on the journey yesterday, as well as some Eagles & wild camels. Could have had Camel or Kangaroo for dinner last night, but settled for good old beef steak instead. Still plenty of chance to try those later.

Before I sign off a comment from Karen, "Alice? Alice? who the %#$@ is Alice?"
