Day 3 in London began with a tour to Windsor Castle, after which we headed back to London and the London Eye. The weather and the view was spectacular. We then headed to the West End for some dinner and to see the Lion King. We both thought the show was amazing. Home to bed and ready for our finial day in London.
What better way to spend the day, but to tour the Royal Mews to see the royal coaches followed by a tour of Buckingham Palace. Mel then wanted to go to the London Zoo, which she enjoyed, but a zoo is a zoo to me. After walking for more than 6 hours and hopping on and off the underground, we were exhausted and headed back to our hotel for a G@T. We were too tired to go out for dinner, so ate in our hotel. A 6am wake up call the following morning, ready for our transfer to St Pancras station and onto the Eurostar to Paris.
Arrived without and dramas to Paris to me met for our transfer to our hotel with a little sightseeing on the way. After a quick lunch we went for a visit of the Notre-Dame followed by a cruise on the Seine. On our way back to our hotel we stopped at the Eiffel Tower which was lit and quite a spectacle.
Yesterday we went on a tour to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, followed by a sightseeing tour of Paris and then a tour of The Louvre and saw The Mona Lisa. Mel and I then went walking on our own and covered many kilometres. Around 5pm we had had enough, so found a place for a cold beer and caught a taxi home. Our E15 trip turned into a E25 trio due to a strike and many road closures. Went to a local brassiere for tea and an early night.
