Today was all about the Falls... In the morning we went to the Devil's Mouth viewing platform. You walk about 1 km over the iguazu river and stand really close to the biggest drop. It's about 72metres high. The bridge was recently reopened after high waters swept away large sections of it that you can see strewn in the river. After our morning tour, we went on an amazing jet boat that takes you upstream and into the spray at the foot of some of the slightly smaller falls. We were drenched... Head to toe! Was really excellent and worth getting wet for.
So this entry is going to go for two days. This morning we crossed the border into Brazil by car and headed to the other side of Igauzu Falls. Argentina own 70% of the falls so you actually get a better view of them from Brazil. We spent the morning walking along and looking at the falls in between a myriad of different tourists and now we are sitting at the airport waiting to fly into Rio... The last main stop on this holiday. Less than a week remains and other than looking forward to clean and different clothes and my own bed, I've really enjoyed travelling in South America.
We have arrived in Rio... Honeymoon upgrade again! Better hotel, view of Copacabana beach and free dessert! Awesome!
