We all met back at the hostel by 6pm so we could end our stay in Beijing with a bang --- we went to see an Acrobatics show! IT WAS AMAZING. I?m pretty sure it even topped the Broadway shows that I?ve seen ? the performance was just THAT good. We had great seats?the theater had stadium seating and we were probably in the 6th or 7th row from the front. The show was almost a mix between the circus and a dance recital. The performers had to only be maybe 4 or 5 to about 15 or 16 years old, which was really neat because they were so talented for being so young! I couldn?t believe that their bodies could bend in ways that they did. There?s no way I could ever to any of the stuff they did without breaking any of my bones! I?m convinced that Chinese people are a breed of their own. Their bones must be made of silly putty or something. The show started out with a bunch of girls in flashy body suits that were spinning 4 plates on long sticks in each hand. At first I wasn?t sure if they were actually spinning the plates on their own or if they were somehow glued on or something, but they definitely were doing it on their own because at the end of the song, they let the plates fall off the sticks to the ground. They did flips, lay down and twisted around, and even made human pyramids while they were spinning the plates. All of the acts we watched were AMAZING. During the whole show, my mouth was hanging wide open because I couldn?t believe what I was seeing! Seeing an acrobatic show is definitely something you need to do if you ever visit China. YOU WON?T BE DISAPPOINTED! I wanted to get a DVD of the show, but I?m not sure if they were selling them and we had to rush back to the hostel so we could collect our things and get to the train station.Â

We rode the subway one last time to get to the train station and catch our 10:50 overnight train to Qingdao. There were a whole bunch of other SASers on the train, but a lot of them had seats, not beds. I can?t say that I had a good night?s sleep at all because one of the men in my 6-person ?nook? snored terribly loud. Other people from our group were in nooks on either side of me and they could hear him too. He not only snored, but he also coughed up flem and moaned, too. It was terrible! I slept for about an hour and then woke up and remained awake for at least an hour and a half. At 2am I decided to eat some chocolate in hopes of calming myself down a bit so I could attempt to fall asleep again. Ugh, it was an experience, that?s for sure!
